Reader Question: My father passed away last November after a long battle with cancer, and my mother has recently also been diagnosed with cancer. In light of the above, this will sound stupid, but my dog also died of cancer in November 2009. I feel like my whole world has turned dark and that nothing can ever feel good again. I feel I am surrounded by such negativity, but I want to come out of this darkness and want to ask the Angels for help.

I feel sorry for myself because of this, which is so wrong. I have so much to be grateful for, but there are such difficulties in my life at the moment (in my work life too). If I ask for their help and guidance, will they be there for me…. I am lost. Thank you. ~Carol

Dear Carol,

I am so sorry for the losses you have experienced. One of the hardest things we have to go through on our earthly sojourn is the loss of loved ones. Grief has a way of pulling us into a dark, negative place and can make us more vulnerable to the day-to-day stresses of life.

The angel to call upon to help you with these challenges is the beloved and mighty Archangel Michael.
